Overwhelm

Overwhelm refers to a state of being completely overcome by intense emotions or feelings. It can feel like an intense flood of emotions that are difficult to manage or control, making a person feel like they are drowning in their emotions.

Emotional overwhelm can occur when we experience multiple stressors or when we are unable to process or cope with intense emotions. It can also manifest as physical symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, or gastrointestinal distress.

Common causes of emotional overwhelm include traumatic experiences, relationship issues, work stress, financial problems, or major life changes. Managing emotional overwhelm often requires learning healthy coping strategies such as mindfulness, self-care, or seeking professional support.
